Autumn Bucket List- 80 Ideas And A Special Display

display your autumn bucket list 80 ideas for fall bucket list

Our Autumn bucket list is on our "All Seasons Tree." We keep this tree up year round and decorate it accordingly for seasons, holidays, and birthdays. For our fall bucket list, we will start off the season with a tree full of leaves. On those leaves are the ideas. Every day we will pick an idea (or two!) from the tree and take down the leaf. Hopefully, by the beginning of December our tree will be as bare as the ones outside.

We came up with 80 ideas and I wanted to come up with some way to categorize them. I wanted to make looking through them each day as easy as possible, so I came up with the color coded the different categories. I decided to split them up into five sections.

categorize the leaves on your fall bucket list

Gold leaves (which look tan in this picture) are the bigger adventures that take more time, planning, and/or money. Brown is our food ideas. Orange is for crafts. Red is for "simple fun" and yellow is for the few bits of randomness that were thrown in. But you could organize this in so many different ways. Believe me, I know. For instance, you could do it by months, or holidays, or themes.

Now onto the list (in no particular order)! I've added links where needed to give credit or for further information.

  4. I love this idea and may do something similar- and will of course, link back to your post! I actually am thinking of doing something a little more boring and making a tree with my "Nagging Project Bucket List"- maybe it will be a way to transform the negative tasks into something beautiful- and each time I remove a leaf, I'll have a visual reminder that I accomplished something. I am totally serious. haha!

  11. I had to come over and say how much I LOVE your list!! Such fun Fall activities! I see that "make applesauce" is on there; we're doing that this weekend for the first time! We're going apple picking at a local farm, and when we get home we plan on making a big batch of apple sauce to share with our neighbors. :) I'm adding you to my Google Reader.

  12. Thank you, Mandi! We've never made applesauce either. We hope to soon. I'm trying to talk my husband into taking us to the apple orchard this weekend. I have to talk him into it, because it's out of state. Haha. But we'll see. Thank you so much for adding me to your reader. It also inspired me to try to set up an RSS feed. I have no idea what I'm doing though. Maybe I'll figure it out as I go along?

  16. Oh, and Erin, I would comment on your lovely blog, but I have issues with being able to comment unless it's a pop up comment box, or theres a name/url option. I'm not sure why that is, but it's been going on now for quite some time.

  20. So many ideas-we have a little autumn tree but far, far fewer ideas. May well add some of yours to our tree.
Just a thought about something to add-we like to plant forced hyacinths at this time of year.

  22. Bats and Moths is like Marco Polo. A child is the "bat" and calls out "bat" while walking around blindfolded. All other players are walking around as moths (in a defined area). So when they call out "bat," the moths call out "moth". Eventually the bat should realize to repeatedly call out "bat" and listen for "moth" to find them. Like echolocation.

Does it sound like something your kids might like playing, Phyllis? We are going to play it while we learn a little about bats. R was wanting to be a bat for Halloween, but I think for the first time ever, he has now changed his mind. We'll still have bat fun though!
