Jokes For Preschoolers

R is quite the comedian. He prides himself on his humor now. At one point this morning I said "R, you are so smart!" To which he replied, "and funny!" Telling jokes is on his list of favorite past times. Sure, he can kind of go on and on. And sure, most of them are repeats, or ones that make no sense at all. But he tells them and laughs and slaps his knee. He makes it funny.  And is there anything better than a child's belly laugh?

I would like to share some of his favorites, and I hope that you will take the time to leave some favorites in the comments.

 Knock, knock.
     Who's there?
Interrupting cow.
     Interrupting...
MOOOOO (interrupts before the second person can finish the question)

Knock, knock.
     Who's there?
Cows say.
     Cows say who?
No, silly! Cows say moo!

Knock, knock.
     Who's there?
Ghosts say.
     Ghosts say who?
No, silly! Ghosts say BOO!

Knock, knock.
     Who's there?
Boo.
     Boo who?
You don't have to cry, I'm here now!

How do you make a tissue dance?
You put a little boogie in it.

What kind of monster loves to dance?
     The Boogieman!

How do you fix a broken jack-o-lantern?
     With a pumpkin patch!

Why don't seagulls live near the bay?
Because then they would be called bagels!

  5. The interrupting cow joke is my kids' hands down fave! They tell it to everyone and the funniest thing is when folks don't get it but pretend to. That cracks me up.

  6. Haha, Deanna! That is hilarious! I have to admit, there are some kid's jokes that get me too, and I'm left feeling rather embarassed. Lol.

  7. My husband's favorite joke (he could count as a preschooler most of the time) is "What do you call a fish with no eyes?" - FSH!
